Simply Clean Home Watch and Care services are designed to give homeowners peace of mind while away from their
property. These services consist of non-professional, visual-only walk-throughs conducted by
independent professionals on the Simply Clean platform.
These professionals operate as licensed businesses registered in Washington State and are reviewed based on
completed job performance on the platform. They are not home inspectors, and no specialized tools or professional
equipment of any kind are used.
All walk-throughs are documented with photos and video for your records and ours.
Important: Home Watch and Care services are visual observation services only. The professionals
who perform these services are not licensed home inspectors, contractors, or engineers. These services do not
replace professional inspections or licensed assessments of any kind. Simply Clean assumes no liability for
conditions that are not visually apparent during a walk-through.
Safety Check
A walk-through of your home to confirm that your property is secured and properly set before or after your
time away.
- Confirming the alarm system is armed.
- Checking that all accessible doors and windows are locked.
- Verifying the garage is secured.
- Confirming the thermostat is set to the client-specified level.
- Walk-through is fully photographed and filmed for documentation.
This service is a visual confirmation only. Simply Clean does not test the structural integrity or mechanical
function of any lock, door, window, alarm, or garage mechanism. Simply Clean is not liable for alarm activations,
false alarm fees, or any consequences arising from alarm system interactions during a visit.
Storm and Leak Check
A basic property walk-through designed for homeowners away from home, checking for visible signs of weather-related
or moisture-related concerns.
- Visual check for visible water intrusion, dripping, or standing water.
- Checking for open or unsecured windows following a storm.
- Noting lights left on or obvious energy waste.
- Walk-through is fully photographed and filmed for documentation.
This is a visual surface check only. No professional tools, moisture meters, thermal imaging, plumbing equipment,
or diagnostic instruments of any kind are used. Hidden leaks, structural issues, or conditions not visible to
the naked eye are outside the scope of this service.
Forget Something?
We will visit your home to locate a specific item you have left behind, confirm it visually, and secure it
for pickup or delivery.
- Item located and photographed for your confirmation.
- Item placed in a safe, accessible location of your choosing.
- Optional item mailing or document copying available for an additional quoted charge.
- Video call assistance available upon request.
Simply Clean is not responsible for items that cannot be located or that were misplaced prior to arrival.
Optional mailing or document copying is performed at the client's sole direction and risk.
Simply Clean platform professionals will not handle cash, medications, firearms, or high-value items without
prior written agreement.
Mailbox Check
Your mail is collected from your home mailbox and placed safely inside your home.
- Mail retrieved from exterior residential mailbox only (not P.O. boxes or secured parcel lockers).
- Mail placed inside the home in a designated location per client instructions.
Simply Clean is not responsible for mail that was not present upon arrival, was lost or stolen before or after
retrieval, or contains items of extraordinary value. Clients should not rely on this service for time-sensitive
or high-value deliveries.
By booking a Mailbox Check, you expressly authorize Simply Clean to retrieve mail from your designated residential
mailbox and place it inside your home.
Water Plants
Indoor plants watered according to your specific care instructions for up to 15 plants.
- Indoor plants only. Outdoor plants and garden beds are not included.
- Up to 15 plants per visit.
- Watering performed according to client-provided instructions.
- Additional plants beyond 15 may be accommodated for an additional charge.
Simply Clean is not responsible for plant health outcomes, including death, wilting, or disease, resulting
from pre-existing conditions, client-provided instructions, or factors beyond visible observation.
Scope and Limitations of All Home Watch Services
All Home Watch and Care services are visual and non-invasive only. The professional performing
your visit will not:
- Use professional tools, equipment, or diagnostic instruments.
- Access crawl spaces, attics, wall cavities, or other enclosed areas.
- Move furniture, appliances, or large items.
- Perform repairs of any kind.
- Interact with or assess structural, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
- Handle or review sensitive correspondence and valuables beyond booked scope.
Simply Clean is not a licensed home inspection company. These services do not constitute a professional home
inspection under Washington State law (RCW 18.280).
Photo and Video Documentation
For your protection and ours, all Home Watch and Care walk-throughs are documented with photos and video.
Documentation is used exclusively for service verification and to support dispute or damage resolution.
By booking any Home Watch and Care service, you consent to interior and exterior photography and video recording
of your property for documentation purposes. Simply Clean will not publish or publicly share photos or video
of your property without explicit written consent.
Recordings are retained for 90 days following each visit, then permanently deleted unless
a claim or dispute is active.
Property Access
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and functional access credentials (keys, codes, smart lock access,
or similar) prior to a scheduled visit. If the professional cannot access the property, the visit will be marked
as completed and the booking fee will not be refunded.
Access credentials are stored securely, used only to perform booked services, and deleted within 30 days of your
final scheduled visit unless an ongoing service arrangement is in place.
Liability and Disclaimer
Limitation of Liability: Simply Clean Home Watch and Care services are non-professional,
visual-only observation services. Simply Clean disclaims liability for property damage, loss, or deterioration
that was not visually apparent during the walk-through, occurred outside the service window, or resulted from
pre-existing conditions.
In no event shall Simply Clean be liable for damages exceeding the amount paid for the specific service in question.
Emergency Conditions
If the professional observes a condition that appears to present an immediate risk to the property or public
safety (such as a burst pipe, active flooding, or smoke), they will make a reasonable effort to notify you
immediately and, if warranted, contact emergency services.
Simply Clean is not obligated to take corrective action and is not liable for damages that occur before or
after notification.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equal
to the full service price. Rescheduling requests made at least 24 hours in advance will be accommodated without charge.
